Where Are We Now?
I was filling out an application and I noticed the
below:
Please select the racial category or categories with
which you most closely identify. Check as many as apply:
American Indian
or Alaska Native (A person having origins in any of the original peoples of
North and South America (including Central America), and who maintains tribal
affiliation or community attachment.)
Asian (A person
having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia
or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India,
Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine islands, Thailand, and
Vietnam.)
Black or
African American (A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of
Africa.)
Hispanic or
Latino
Native
Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander (A person having origins in any of the original
peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific islands.)
White (A person
having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or
North Africa.)
I prefer to not
answer
Black or
African American (A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of
Africa.)
White (A person
having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or
North Africa.)
Really? I thought African's were and always have been
of the darker complexion! When did they reclassify the African culture or color
other than the darker complexion or what they classify the African or African
decedents as “Black”?
I was just reading this post and there are so many
conflicting views from so many African-American reading that should not even be
commenting of this. But since they are let me say this, read this: http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/mencken.htmH. L. MENCKEN QUOTES
Then reread what he is trying to explain to those that
understand his struggles. His issues are not with the institutions that hold
him, it is with those who has bound his hands and feet to keep him there. Most
of these persons are of African descent.
Most American-American’s have benefited from the
atrocities of criminal activities and call it snitching. Most American-American’s have benefited from
the atrocities of drug sales brought in by European-American business men and
politicians who have built the very establishments that created our college institutions
and the format or our K1 thru K12 education system which is and have fail the
African-American child. If there were an African-American tribunal structure
that condemns those who have failed the African-American community most of us
would have been executed. But we continue following those who have created a
state of mind for us to follow because it is the right thing to do. Crime is
committed by our American government officials, successful American business
men and those that are in the community crime rings here and in other countries
and we still use and spend the money gained from it. To factor in where we
belong in these United States of the Americas is irrelevant to what he is
talking about. But what he is not explaining to the untrained reader, like most
of us are, it is a reason why he is confessing to us all without going into any
details of what he is confessing to. Kwame is a good man and he tried to help
the communities that were being neglected by state officials and he did use
unlawful ways to do it, but, we all are guilty of those same crimes and refuse
to admit it because the system which we live overlook crimes that would
otherwise condemn those who created it. You still do not understand what I am
talking about or where I am going? Well, this is the problem with the African-American
white washed mind. You are blinded by the money that you are receiving and the
well-structured conditions which you live away from those who you should be
assisting.
They removed the
article but I have saved it in my blog: http://s13.zetaboards.com/ShephardFamily/topic/973496/1/...
Another fine read is
here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hume , you should read articles like these to get a
better perception of how most thing of our African-American so called
professional persons who may be well endowed in the crafts of American
Education.
